About Us
We are a central C of E church in tradition, vestments are worn by the priest at Eucharistic services. We welcome women priests
Our church was originally built in 1851 and in 2016 we celebrated our 165th anniversary. We hold services according to Common Worship and have a combined Choirs of Chorley Evensong on the first Sunday of the month on a rota with the other Anglican churches in Chorley.
We had a new organ built specifically for us in 2001 by Wood of Huddersfield.
We have strong youth organisations including a thriving Sunday School & Youth Club (meet Friday evenings n the Meeting Room (Hall)) Also Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade and we have good links with our Church Primary school within our parish and a local C of E High school (St Michael's) within the vicinity.
We have been given the Child Friendly Church award again.
