We meet at the Old School in Charnock Richard for fellowship, prayer and learning throughout the season of Lent. All are welcome.

We meet on Holy Wednesday for the final of the Holy Week addresses within a celebration of the Eucharist.

The Liturgy of Maundy Thursday marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum, commemorating the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. The service includes the washing of feet, symbolizing Christ’s command to love and serve one another, the Eucharist recalling the institution of Holy Communion, and the stripping of the altar, representing Jesus' abandonment before his arrest. Following the liturgy, the Watch is a time of silent prayer and reflection, echoing Jesus’ request to his disciples to keep watch with him in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The Liturgy of Good Friday commemorates the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. It is a solemn service marked by prayer, readings, and veneration of the cross. The liturgy includes three parts: the Liturgy of the Word (with the reading of the Passion narrative), the Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion (using pre-consecrated hosts from Maundy Thursday). The service ends in silence, reflecting the solemnity of Christ’s sacrifice.

The Easter Vigil is the most solemn and significant liturgy in the Christian calendar, celebrated on Holy Saturday night. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ and begins with the Service of Light, where the Paschal candle is lit from the Easter fire. The liturgy includes the proclamation of salvation history through several Scripture readings, the renewal of baptismal promises, and the celebration of the Eucharist, symbolizing Christ's victory over death and the hope of new life.
