It has come to pass. David and Martin have retired. We have prayed for them both, celebrated in true Brindle style with tea and lots and lots of cake and now we begin to adjust to the change. It is a little too soon to express how much David and Martin have done over the last 12 years as Rector and Churchwarden. It is too soon to reflect on their legacy and on what they have meant to each one of us and our church. Suffice it to say they will be very much missed, but they also go with our love and best wishes for their retirement.
As ‘Wired to the Moon’ becomes unwired for the next few months, we will use this space to continue to update you, dear readers, on the events in church; and importantly the progress to find David’s successor.
