Messy Church reminds us of Jesus' call to love

Over 50 people gathered in Church on Sunday afternoon to celebrate our latest Messy Mass, where we focussed our attention on the Ten Commandments and Choosing God's way. Our crafts reminded us of the link between the Ten Commandments and how Jesus focussed then two simple commands, to love the Lord your God, with all your heart and with all your mind, and to love your neighbour as yourself.

In our worship, we began with a talk about the command to love by Gail. This then led us back to continue at the craft stations, where all present were invited to make arrows to point to God's way. These were then laid on the floor pointing to the altar when we returned for the Eucharistic Prayer, and to meet Jesus in the Sacrament of his Body and Blood. After the Mass, we continued our fellowship over a sandwich tea, where all present were fed well, and were able to experience something of God's love demonstrated in our love for each other.

Join us for our next Messy Church, which will be on Sunday 15 March 2020.
