This Advent and Christmas at St Paul's has been exceptionally busy, with over one tenth of the population of Adlington coming through the doors of St Paul's at some point during December. Many more were involved through online engagement and carol-singing in the local pubs.
The month kicked off with our now traditional Christmas Lights switch-on, followed by carol-singing and hot chocolate. As the month went on, there were several primary school carol services, including pupils from St Paul's and from Adlington Primary School. There were also Advent meditations and a church carol service. The parish Christmas lunch was well attended, and many members of the congregation enjoyed the carol-singing pub crawl, during the course of which, we visited 8 establishments.
Christmas Eve was busy, with 500 people attending the 5 services which were held, and even Christmas morning attracted a good congregation.
We would like to thank the people of Adlington for their support of our events this Christmas, and we look forward to seeing even more of you next year!
