Girlguiding - Rainbows, Brownies and Guides

7th Burnley St Matthew with Holy Trinity Rainbows, Brownies and Guides have been connected to St Matthew Church for many years. We run a thriving and action-packed programme. All sections meet on a Monday night as follows:

Rainbows    (age 5-7 years)        between 5.00 – 6.00 pm

Brownies     (age 7- 10 years)     between 6.15 - 7.30 pm

Guides         (age 10-15 years)    between 7.30 - 8.45 pm.

There is a Ranger unit (age 14-18 years) in Burnley which meets once a month. We also have up to 2 young leaders attached to each section (who are aged 14-17 years).

Please note during the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings may be subject to change or take place online.

If your daughter would like to become a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide or Ranger she will join a group of girls her own age and will be led by our carefully trained and dedicated volunteers. Whatever inspires your daughter, whatever her passions and interests, Girlguiding offers her the chance to develop her potential, make friends and have fun.

Alternatively, you may wish to register yourself as a volunteer. By volunteering with us, you can help girls build their confidence, have adventures, learn new skills and have loads of fun – no matter your experience, your background or how much time you have spare. Becoming a role model does not need to be a full-time commitment – we need volunteers in all sorts of roles.
