We are an Easter people, and this Lent it is worth considering our belief in the saving work of Christ. As Jesus lives, so do we live in Him. Over the course of four weeks at St. Catherine’s, we shall explore together: the Eucharist, the problem of sin, the Passion of Christ, and the Resurrection. To accompany this story, we shall consider how Church doctrine is depicted in Sacred Scripture and in Art. Often-times, the arts can teach us truths otherwise difficult to express, and they act as a focus of recollection for what we have learned, so every talk will feature a keynote picture and a hymn which capture the theme. On Sundays, we shall meet in church at 5pm and make our way through to the Community Centre for our talks. These will last about 40 minutes, and following a little break, there will be the opportunity to join in an evening act of worship in Church. On Tuesdays, however, we shall be meeting for 2pm at the Benfields (234A Todmorden Road). That will give the chance for those who are otherwise engaged on Sundays, or who do not care for night-time driving to attend. For further information about what is planned, please speak to Fr. Tristan (phone number on the poster).
