A baby changing facility that includes a baby changing unit and a bin to dispose of nappies.
Limited off road parking on the Church grounds. There is also free parking on the roadside across from the Church.
A wheelchair accessible toilet including a raised toilet pan with grab rails adjacent, a hand basin next to the toilet pan and a range of adapted accessories including additional grab rails and paper towel dispenser.

There is usually a sign language interpreter at our Sunday services. If you are coming specifically for a signed service you are welcome to contact us in advance to make sure we have someone on duty on the Sunday you are coming.

Groups, Courses and Activities
Youth Church meet once per month on a Sunday evening.
Come along to the After School Drop in at St James' Church, Lower Darwen, 3.15pm - 4.45pm every Thursday during term time. Tuck shop and fun activities for the children in the school years 6 - 9. Don't forget your pocket money for the tuck shop!
Brownies - For girls aged 7-10 years. Every Monday evening at St James' Primary School, Lower Darwen.
During most school holidays we run activities and provide hot meals for families.
Young at Heart lunch takes place on the second Thursday of every month. Come along and enjoy a three course meal cooked by our fabulous kitchen staff. Over 60's only!

Stay and Play runs every Friday morning in term time, 9.30-11am. Toys, songs, activities and story time. We also enjoy warm toast and drinks together. Donation of £1.50 per family.
Rainbows is for girls aged 5-7 years. Every Monday evening at St James' Primary School, Lower Darwen.

There is free wifi available in the building.
Other Features
We collect for St James' Church, Over Darwen Food Club, based at Ash Grove shops. We are able to refer people who need help with food to the Food Club and other local food banks.
