This week we are joining with the national prayer event Thy Kingdom Come. In our family Zoom worship we will be using the Cheeky Panda resources. A cartoon based on a panda band. They will help us to learn about prayer and teach us how to pray. We will begin our midweek Zoom Group on the 25th May when we will use the course written by the Archbishop of York.
As we arrive at the Summer and the school holidays are appearing over the horizon I thought it would be good to reflect on our church and community at St Paul's. The school has returned for three of the year groups but many of the families still educate and nurture at home as they have for the last 4 months whilst juggling going back to work. As a church we will probably not return to the school building until the school fully returns and feels confident enough to welcome us back. This means we will continue to Zoom throughout the summer, working the ins and outs of holidays as we usually do. The Reach, our shed meeting room, may be available for quiet prayer and small gatherings for Holy Communion at some point soon. We have missed meeting our elderly congregation who have been unable to Zoom, finding the technology a little challenging, but look forward to meeting them again soon. The good news is that we have regularly had 60/70 adults and children joining us each week for Zoom worship.God is good.
