Dear church family,As you may already be aware, church services and events run by Church of the Saviour and St. Bartholomew's have been suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak. We're currently looking at ways to carry on having fellowship and expressing our Christian unity without meeting face to face.On Sunday at 10.30am, we will meet as a church digitally through an application called Zoom. All you need to do is press the link below (or copy it into your web browser) at around 10.20am on Sunday to join (you may need to press 'open in browser') You will then be connected with me and other church members for a short service. [If you are a member of our church please contact Chris at chris.anderton@the-redemer.org.uk for the link]In the weeks ahead there will also be sermon audio and video available through the following sites:Website (resources section): http://www.the-redeemer.org.uk/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theredeemerblackburn/Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYbYhMFD15VTb_QVchA6OXQ?view_as=subscriberWe're also working hard to stay in touch with those who don't have access to the internet. We've already received offers of help for those in isolation from a number of church members, which is a great joy and encouragement. If you know of anyone in need over the coming weeks, please don't hesitate to get in touch by replying to this email or calling me on 07951695257.It is a great comfort to know that God is with us during this time. I've been reflecting on this passage from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:"Praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all confort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."Peace and comfort to you all,Chris AndertonCurateBenefice of the Redeemer
