About Us

St Thomas' is truly a village church within the vibrant community of Helmshore. The church building is used throughout the week for various activities and groups. Our recently created Refectory Cafe offers a lovely venue for lunches, coffee and homemade cakes, as well as a calm and contemporary meeting space.

We also have a Church Hall which is available to hire and is used each day by Helmshore's 'Little Stars Nursery' as well as our uniformed organisations, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs and Beavers.

The Refectory Cafe opens every other Thursday and the last Saturday in the month.

The church choir sings at the Parish Eucharist each Sunday and join colleagues at St James' in Haslingden for special events including a monthly Evensong.

 A Mothers' Union group meets every second Tuesday.
