St Clement's is the daughter church of St James' Accrington - one of the first 20 churches to hold a Christingle service in 1970. We celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Christingle on Sunday 9th December.  During the quiz we discovered one person actually born in 1968 (and several who had been around quite a few years by then). The Vicar gave a rendition of UA Fanthorpe's poem BC:AD and we all made our Christingle's together and sang 'Hope of Heaven' with them all lit. #Christingle50 @childrensociety
