Christmas Worship

Join us to celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ at services across our three Churches.  At the two Crib Services on Christmas Eve there will be an opportunity for children to be involved in the building of the Crib scene, and at 3.00 pm at St Andrew's, to receive a Christingle, reminding us of Jesus, the Light of the World, born and laid in the manger.  At the 7.00 pm Vigil Mass at St Peter's, the image of the Christ-child will be placed in the manger and the crib will be blessed.  This is a perfect opportunity for all the family to worship together as we look forward to the festivities of Christmas Day.

The Midnight Mass at St Mary Magdalen's will be our traditional Eucharist of Christmas night, celebrated by candlelight, reflecting on the mystery of that first Christmas night when the shepherds were called from their flocks to see the child Jesus.  Christmas morning gives us another opportunity to give thanks for that birth, with two masses full of the joy of Christmas and with more carols to be sung.

It would be wonderful to see you, and we look forward to worshipping with you.  The full list of times and venues is below.

If, for whatever reason, you are unable to join us for worship in person, please find a form of worship for use at home here. In addition, Fr David's Christmas greeting is available here.
