St Peter & St Paul

Welcome to St Peter & St Paul, where everyone is welcome. The red sandstone church with nave, chancel, and tower is small but considered by many to be something of a jewel. The present building is believed to date back to the early 17th century but the list of rectors goes back to 1326.

This Benefice takes the wellbeing and safety of the children and vulnerable adults that attend our church very seriously. If you wish to raise a Safeguarding concern, please contact Michael Huntingford our Safeguarding Officer, or Lynn Lake our Benefice Safeguarding Officer on 01823 400305 or by email at: [email protected]. Alternatively, you can contact Ben Goodhind the Diocesan Safeguarding Manager on 01749 588917 and find more information on their website: https://www.bathandwells.org.uk/diocese/safeguarding/

Safeguarding

Our parish of Runnington is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Michael Huntingford on 07880 706889, or the Benefice Safeguarding Advisor on 01823 400305. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
