Working to raise funds to install a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities
Parking is possible in the lane outside the church, or very close by in a layby by our village school.
There is a ramp inside the south door and onto the dias within the church
There are large print hymn books and Holy Communion Service books

There are two stained glass memorial windows, the others were replaced i the 19th centuary

The first church on this site was Saxon, and the only remnant from this time is the Font, which is upside down as a John Venn (local), was a signatory to Charles 1st execution. The next positive mention of a church here was in 1127. The present Church is believed to be the third on this site and the Chancel is a mixture of different styles
In 1870 there was a big restoration of the Church.
The Church bells were re-hung in 1982 to make a ring of 6 bells, and in 2004 were supplemented by another 3.
Music and Worship
We have an enthusiastic team of bellringers, who ring for most services. Practice night is Monday, from 7.30pm until 9pm. Beginners welcome. Tower Captain: Paul Yoemans, 01984 667364

Groups, Courses and Activities
In 2024 we organised a day of abseiling the Church Tower in conjunction with another local Church to raise funds, to further improvements within the Church.
There is to be an Open Gardens event run by the PCC this year during the first weekend of June
Decipleship coarses in which we participate are run at Bishops Lydeard Church Centre

We never object to dogs acompanying their owners

We are a Fairtrade registered Church. All refreshments provided these events are Fairtrade
Lydeard St Lawrence is within a conservation area
We have no hall, but the project group wish to attract outside groups to use the eventual facilities
