Holy Cross

Holy Cross church is at the centre of the village in more ways than one, being centrally placed opposite the village green and also at the heart of much of what goes on in the village.

This 14th century church has been recently modernised to include a small functional kitchen area and toilet facility. The bell tower has also been upgraded and now includes a much used bell-ringing simulator. These facilities, coupled with energies of a small but active congregation, mean that Holy Cross is regularly used by the community for a whole host of activities, including monthly breakfasts, monthly lunches, concerts, fetes and fayres.

The church is part of the Vale Churches Benefice

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Hillfarrance is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Manager who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Sarah Messenger on 01823 462979 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Manager Ben Goodhind on 01749 588917 or [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
