Welcome to St James the Great Church where everyone is welcome. The Church is mainly 15th century and consists of a nave, north aisle, chancel, and vestry. The church was heavily restored in the 19th century and the nave and chancel about 1849, retaining the late medieval pews, and Rood screen. Much of the medieval fabric of the nave survives. St James the Great is open to visitors everyday in daylight hours.
This Benefice takes the wellbeing and safety of the children and vulnerable adults that attend our church very seriously.
