Annual Meetings Because of the COVID lockdown, all annual meetings in parishes were suspended. They now have to be held by 31 October. Notice is formally given that the Annual Meeting of Parishioners will be held on Sunday 11 October at 11.15am for the purpose of electing two Church Wardens, This will be followed immediately by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting where reports of the church's activities will be received, the financial accounts accepted, and any elections to the Parochial Church Council will be held. Reports will be available electronically, along with nomination forms for any vacancies.Help needed! The hall is re-opening for public use, but is subject to strict regulations regarding COVID. After each use (unless there's a 48 hour break in bookings) the hall will need to be cleaned. This involves primarily a wiping-down of all surfaces (table/counter tops and chairs). We urgently need volunteers to do this. This shouldn't take more than half an hour each time, so perhaps there could be a volunteer for each day. PLEASE let Liz Hathway or Fr Julian know if you can help. This is really most important; otherwise we will have to consider hiring a cleaner, which we can't afford.COVID Precautions Please don't forget to wear masks when attending worship, and take proper precautions regarding sanitising your hands and keeping social distances, especially when receiving Holy Communion. Lend with Care There have been no further repayments from our entrepreneurs as they take a payment break in face of the Coronavirus which may have devastated their lives and businesses. Bishop Peter is most grateful for the prayers, cards and good wishes in his illness. The initial chemotherapy is coming to an end and he hopes to be able to return home and in due course and have a bone marrow transplant. Please continue to pray for him and his family as he undergoes chemotherapy.Face Masks It is now compulsory to wear face masks in church. They may be hot, uncomfortable and cause your glasses to steam up, but we have no choice! These need to be worn at all times, and only removed immediately before receiving Holy Communion. Please unhook (if you're elasticated!) one side by the strap, avoiding contact with the mask itself, and gel your hands after replacing as you return to your pew.
