NOTICES

Fr Eric Illing RIP Fr Eric was taken ill at his nursing home on Friday 28 February and died peacefully in the evening. His funeral will be here at Holy Trinity on Friday 13 March at 1.00pm. For many years he was one of our valued honorary assistant priests; his late wife, Marion, made the pulpit falls and the antependium for the High Altar. May he rest in peace. There will be no 12.30 Mass and soup lunch that day.

Lent Group Please don’t forget the Lent Group which meets in the Vestry on Thursdays at 7.30pm, looking at the Passion of Christ through the church’s services. This week is Holy Week.

Local Ministry Group From next week, LMG prayers will be on Wednesdays and at 8.30am. Everyone is still welcome – and Fr Julian can provide transport from the church, if needed.

Fairtrade Fortnight This year’s focus has been cocoa farming. African cocoa farmers achieve less than the minimum national wage for their produce, unless they get the Premium from FairTrade. Fair Trade goods are available at Coffee Time today which is also- International Women's Day! Our thanks to Wendy Burge for organising this, and to Trudi Watkins for the lovely display in the hall.

Zambia Floods If you haven’t yet made a donation towards the diocesan appeal to help our brothers and sisters in our link diocese of Zambia, please do so soon, as we wish to forward the monies. If you’d like to ‘gift aid’ your donation, please put it in the white gift aid envelopes and clearly add ‘Zambia’. Thank you.

Easter Lilies Forms are available for Easter Lilies in memory of loved ones. Please complete and return to the Parish Office by 22 March, please. The cost is, still, £5. Thank you.

Easter Art Competition Artwork from local schools will be displayed in the church from Friday 3rd April. Please see the poster at the back of the church for more details.

Lend with Care We have received three further repayments on our loans including the first repayment from one of our solar entrepreneurs in which we invested at Christmas ! Our account stands at £53:28 which I intend to reinvest; unless you have an objection? There will be an article in Outlook next month; Editor and space permitting. Many thanks for your continuing care for others.

Any items for inclusion in next week’s Notice Sheet to be received at the Parish Office (on paper, by email or phone) by THURSDAY MORNING, please.
