NOTICESInvasion of Ukraine This is a fearsome action on behalf of Russia with effects and ramifications to be experienced by many people for a long time. Copies of a prayer which can be used is available today. The church will be open daily from 10am-11am for prayer, as well as all day, as usual, on Tuesdays and Thursday.

Lend with Care, part of CARE International, is working with People In Need and asks us for donations to their humanitarian aid programme in Ukraine and the neighbouring countries which have given refugees shelter. Please log on to careinternational.org.uk or put a donation in the jar at the back of church. Our lives are difficult since Covid, but not as hard as the lives of those of Ukraine. Please help. Thank you.

Pancakes! We are most grateful to Jenni and her team for all their hard work to make our Shrove Tuesday party so enjoyable and fun!

Outlook March's copy of the Parish Magazine is still available online (holytrinitytaunton.org). There are a few hard copies available for those who are unable to access it electronically. Enjoy!

Lent Throughout Lent, from this week, there will be Compline in the Vestry at 8.00pm on Tuesdays and Stations of the Cross at 6.00pm on Fridays. Both services last about 30 minutes. Lent savings boxes for the Additional Curates Society, supporting vocations and assisting parishes financially, are available at the back of the church.

Lent Online You may not be able to take part physically in some of the Lent events, but some are available online through the church’s website: holytrinitytaunon.org. Just click on the ‘Lent’ button, and you can access the Lent Course and also Stations of the Cross. Compline will be live-streamed through Facebook (@ Holy Trinity Taunton) or A Church Near You.

Organist We welcome Simon Gaunt back to play this Sunday morning whilst Stephen has a few Sundays’ well-earned break. We are most grateful to Simon for standing in.

Any items for inclusion in next week’s Notice Sheet to be received at the Parish Office (on paper, email or phone) by THURSDAY MORNING, please.
