Organist Simon Gaunt has had to resign with
immediate effect for health reasons, and so we
are without an organist this morning, as it has
not been possible to find one. We are sorry for Simon
that he has had to give up, and are very grateful for all
his hard work in the last few years, especially during
COVID. The PCC are looking into how and when he might
be replaced as a matter of urgency.
Congratulations to Rosie, our administrator,
who has been able to secure a job in her
chosen career. Sadly this means she will also
be leaving in the New Year, and again, we are grateful for
all she has done for us.
Christmas Draw Today (6th) is the last chance
to buy tickets from Wendy. There is still time
to buy tickets from Wendy. The winner will be
announced on 13 December.
Advent Please see the 'Advent' tag on the
church's website for a range of resources to
help us all keep a good Advent. You should all
have received a copy of 'A Radiant Dawn'; if
you haven't, please ask Fr Julian and he can let you have
one. Compline will be said in church on Wednesdays at
8.00pm.
Outlook Don't forget to download 'Outlook'
from the website; again Fr Julian can supply a
hard copy if you need one.
Taunton Foodbank It has been suggested that
we do a 'reverse' Advent Calendar, and each
day set aside something for a local
foodbank. Please think about doing this, especially with
Christmas items, to help those who will really be
struggling this Christmas. Gifts may be left at the church.
Lend With Care We have no further
repayments this month. However, as the
Entrepreneurs' countries are 'opening up' we
may get some repayments soon. Please keep them in
your prayers during this time. Thank you.
200 Club The COVID -delayed draws will be
made next week after the Parish Mass. Please
see Richard Tomlinson if you'd like to become
a member - with the possibility of a cash prize every
month!
Christmas Cards Sadly, this year cards cannot be
left at the church for collection, so please either
give in person or post!
