NOTICES
Peter Deal, RIP - Peter’s funeral will be this Tuesday at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation. Please do come to thank God for his life and to support Pat and their family.
Walsingham Pilgrimage – This year’s annual pilgrimage to Walsingham will be from 16th to 20th June. If you would like to know more about it or to book please see Jane Laurence or email: [email protected] . To secure a place please let Jane have your £40 (non-refundable) deposit before the end of February.
Outlook - The Parish magazine for February will be online by the end of this week, a few hard copies are available for those who are unable to access it electronically.
Midweek Services - With winter temperatures with us, all midweek services will be in the Vestry.
Organist - We welcome Simon after his illness and hope he is well on the way to recovery. We are most grateful to those who played in his absence: John Eyles, John Dale, Geoff Greenhough and Hugh Wilson.
Heating – We are sorry that the church has been cold at times recently. The main boiler is not working properly and sometimes fails to come on. The engineers have been called three times (£100 each time) and the electric overhead heaters are used if necessary. However, last quarter the electricity bill was £700. If you would like to borrow a blanket to keep you warmer, some are available at the back of church.
Wire Coat Hangers - if you have any of the old wire coat hangers I'd be very grateful to have them, I'm happy to swap for plastic ones. Many thanks Wendy.
tub2pub - Green King pubs run a marvellous scheme collecting plastic sweet tubs (Roses/Quality Street etc) for recycling - the tubs are not acceptable in normal kerbside plastic waste. Last year they collected 150,000 tubs raising £12,600.00 for Macmillan Cancer care. Please pass any tubs to Wendy by Sunday 9 February.
Food Bank – the list of things urgently required is in the red box. If you would like to give foodstuffs, then please ensure that these are in date and not opened. Thank you.
Streaming - Sunday services are now streamed on youtube. To access, please enter youtube.com@holytrinitytaunton or if you have youtube installed, just enter @holytrinitytaunton. Thank you, Jane Laurence, for getting it all set up with the sound engineers.
Shrove Tuesday Tickets are available for the annual pancake party on Shrove Tuesday, 4 March for a fish'n'chip supper and, of course, pancakes. The price will be £10, including first drink.
