NOTICES

Parish BBQ Our annual burger/ sausage-fest will be held at the Church on Saturday 10 August. Tickets are available today £7. This is a very appropriate date, as it is the feast day of St Laurence the Deacon, who was martyred by being griddled. Tradition has it that he called out to the executioners to turn him over, as that side was done...

Congratulations to Emma and Philip Gregory on the birth of their son Daniel born on July 4th weighing 7lbs 2oz!

Leavers' Service Holy Trinity School will be holding its annual Leavers' Service on Tuesday 23 July at 2.30pm. At the service all 67 leavers will be presented with a full copy of the bible. We are most grateful to the anonymous donor who has made this possible. If anyone is able to help steward the adults at the service, please see John or Jenni. Thank you.

Sharing Together Our monthly discussion group will meet at the the Vicarage on Thursday 25th July at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

Gardening Many thanks to John and Jonathan Godley for beginning to clear the jungle at the east end of the church. No tigers were discovered … The usual party to help keep the grounds tidy around the church will be on Saturday 27 July.

Flowers this Sunday are in memory of Clifford and Elizabeth Kearle.

Gift Aid – Very many thanks to those who have already returned their Gift Aid declarations. There are a few uncollected invitations at the back of Church.

Outlook – July parish magazine is available online. Any contributions to August’s issue to Jane Laurence as soon as possible please.

Used Stamps - Please save your used stamps for the RNIB, and bring them to the church and place in the collection box at the back, remembering to leave a 1cm border. Thank you.
