Denis Ridgway RIP We were sorry to hear of Denis’ death in the early hours of Monday 10th. His funeral will be at the crematorium on Thursday 27 July at 2pm. Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences go to Sheila, his widow, their daughters and families.

Mass on Thursday will be 11.00am not 10.00am, as Fr Julian has to be at a Leavers’ Service at Chard at 9.15am.

Parochial Church Council Meeting The first meeting of the newly-elected PCC will be on Wednesday this week, 19 July, in the hall, following mass in the church at 7pm.

School Leavers’ Service Our annual service with the church school will be on this Thursday (20 July), with all 67 leavers being presented with a bible. We are most grateful for the donation of funds to cover this. Help would be appreciated to steward the service – 400 excited children and parents! Please let Fr Julian or the wardens know if you can help.

Fr Julian is at the Good Shepherd again this morning. We are most grateful to welcome Fr Robin Lodge more as the celebrant today’s Parish Mass.

Cream Teas Tickets are still available for the sumptuous cream tea on 6 august, organised by the Good Shepherd. Liz Hathway has both tickets and details!

BBQ Book the date for the annual parish BBQ in the church grounds on Saturday 19 August at 7.00pm. Further details and tickets nearer the time.

Website We are most grateful to Jane Laurence who has spent a very great deal of time creating a new website for the parish. It is now full up and running, and is a considerable improvement on our last, which was showing signs of age.
