General Data Protection Regulations
This notice is to inform Church Members, those on the Electoral Roll and donors what data we collect and what we do with it.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.
All computer files with confidential information are password protected.
Why we collect and process your data?
Gift Aid
The Gift Aid Officer (Chris Young) has a legal obligation to hold details of your name and address for seven years after you make a donation. HMRC may check that he is doing so.
The Treasurer (David Greig) has access to the Bank Statements and lets Chris Young know how much has been paid.
The Electoral Roll
The Electoral Roll is an administrative requirement. The Church needs to know who is eligible to vote at AGMs. The Electoral Roll Officer (Gillian Greig) keeps a password protected electronic register of names and addresses. The list of names is on display in the Church Porch, but the addresses are only available to the Electoral Roll Officer and with permission to the Church Wardens.
