Mother's Union has a world-wide membership of over 4 million. It works to provide Christian care for families in their local communities.
The Staplegrove branch meets monthly usually in St John's Church, Staplegrove (on the second Thursday afternoon) and visitors are welcome to join any of their meetings during the year. The Branch leader is Moira Read. The Branch also joins with other Mother's Union branches in the Diocese such as at the Wave of Prayer Service and the Deanery garden party.
In addition to regular meetings the Staplegrove branch supports the Women's Refuge in Taunton. It also supports the Neonatal unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, the Mission to Seafarers and other charities through the work of the monthly Knitting Group and helps with Messy Church events run by the Youth Mission.
