Getting here
The parish of West Quantoxhead lies on the northern slopes of the Quantock Hills, approximately ¾ mile from the Bristol Channel. It sits on the A39 road from Bridgwater to Minehead, just 2 miles from Williton which has a full range of shops, banks, Post Office, etc.
In West Quantoxhead we have a shop and petrol station, a pub, a village hall, a wedding centre and there are two holiday parks nearby. We have a population of approximately 300, most of whom are retired.
The parish church of St. Etheldreda (also known as St. Audries) is situated on the outskirts of the village, close to the village hall and the wedding centre (formerly the Manor House). We are very always delighted to conduct weddings in our church and invite you to visit our weddings page for further details
St. Audries runs a monthly community coffee morning in the village hall and produces a free monthly newsletter - Staple Diet.
Services take place on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month are at 9.30am. On the 3rd and 5th Sundays of a month we join with other churches in the Benefice for a Benefice Service. There is usually a note on the door to advise where we are meeting that Sunday, and services then are at 10.30am. All are very welcome.
