Celebrate the light of Christ coming into the world with this relaxed and interactive service, in which attendees make their own Christingle (complete with sweets!)

St Mary's, The Minster, Ilminster

Whether a local Ilminster resident, or just passing through, we are delighted to welcome new visitors to our lovely church.  We have a number of regular services throughout the week (a monthly summary of which can be viewed or downloaded from  the News and notices section), along with a range of other groups, events and activities to introduce you to our friendly church family.

For those unable to attend services in person, we provide an option to watch livestreamed services via our Facebook page.

As one of two churches within the Benefice of Ilminster and Whitelackington, our shared Mission is to be Beacons of Christ’s light – sharing our love for God and our neighbours.  We aim to achieve this  through our worship; our service to one another, our local community and wider world; and in striving for justice and fairness.

To find out more, please take a look at the About us section, or contact the office to receive our weekly Benefice Update.

Safeguarding

The Benefice of Ilminster & Whitelackington is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
