Summer Compline - Evening Prayer

An ecumenical team of lay people will be leading a service of compline each Thursday in August at 8pm. This short, reflective service, is a perfect way to end the day, allowing us to place the day that has been and ourselves into God’s hands. These simple services will take place at The Minster on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of August and will last for about 15-20 minutes. All are welcome. Why not invite a friend to join you? Whether a local Ilminster resident, or just passing through, we are delighted to welcome new visitors to our lovely church.  We have a number of regular services throughout the week, along with a range of other groups and activities to introduce you to our friendly church family.  


As one of two churches within the Benefice of Ilminster and Whitelackington, our shared Mission is to be Beacons of Christ’s light – sharing our love for God and our neighbours.  We aim to achieve this  through our worship; our service to one another, our local community and wider world; and in striving for justice and fairness.
