About Us
CHAFFCOMBE is a small rural village, populated in the main by retired and to a lesser extent younger families and with a farming bias. The population is approximately 170 and is stable. There are neither shops, public house nor public transport. The former village school, closed in the 1960s now functions as a village hall. It is used frequently for both village and church based events e.g. coffee mornings, lunches for church funds and regular concerts from outside artists.
