St. Mary's Chedzoy is taking part in Love Your Burial Ground Week, a national campaign promoted by the conservation charity, Caring for God's Acre - see www.caringforgodsacre.org.uk. If you can spare an hour or two your help will be most welcome. The plan is to tackle some light weeding and edging of the flower beds and borders, planting out for summer, reclaim the path widths, collect dead wood, cut back brambles and reduce the compost heap, etc. Many hands make light work and please bring your own garden tools and gloves. Refreshments after.🍦

As a Thank you for taking part in Love Your Burial Ground Week, Caring for God's Acre have provided two copies of their guide book, "Visit Record Enjoy", with clear, colour illustrations to help you identify the flora, fauna and architecture common in church yards. In the lead up to Love Your Burial Ground Week these can be found in the Children's Corner in church. 🌳

"Our parish of Chedzoy is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).

Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
