Saint Mary's is the most striking building in Bridgwater and its spire is a landmark that can be seen for miles around. As the Parish Church for the town centre we are liberal catholic in our churchmanship, which means that we focus on the sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, and have a robed choir and vestments. Simplicity and respect are hallmarks of our worship.

Since 2002 we have been working on our vision which is :
To develop as a community of the Christian faith.
To be at the heart of the local community.
To serve the wider community of Bridgwater and beyond.

We have formed a range of partnerships with other local organisations including schools, care homes, armed service organisations and St. John Ambulance .
We have an active link with our partner parish in Zambia.

We are seeking to be a community in which all are welcome. We have recently finished transforming the interior of the church to enrich our worship and to forward our mission. This will enable the building to be more widely used by local community groups and organisations, through improved layout, seating, heating,  lighting and catering facilities. .
