A reflective service of Holy communion when we remember the betrayal of Jesus, before He was tken by guards to be tried before Pontius Pilate and crucified. At the end of the service, the altar is stripped to reflect the desolation in the hearts of the disciples,

Christ Church

Sunday 19th April , the third Sunday after Easter, and Christ Church celebrates the day with a Service of Holy Communion at 10.30 am

Our Coimmunion Service is followed by our Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting in the Church Room, when all parishioners are welcome to come and discuss our chhurch year review and plans for the future. Our meeting is followed by a communal lunch in the Church Room, and we hope many of those attending will dine with us.

Our Readings are:

ACTS  Chapter12 Verses 14a and 36-41 Peter encourages the crowd to be baptised

and Luke  chapter 24, verses 13-35  Jesus on the Road to Emmaus

"Lord Jesus, who traveled with the disciples on the road to Emmaus: Be with us on the way, that we may know you in the scriptures, in the breaking of bread, and in the hearts of all whom we meet.

 Amen."
