Christ Church

Sunday 5th April is Easter Sunday, the day that at dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to visit the tomb of Jesus. They found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty, and later Jesus himself, risen from the dead greeted the disciples,

We celebrate the risen Lord with a Benefice service of Holy Communion at St George at 10.30 am,

Our service will be followed by light refreshments, as we catch up on news across the benefice, so please come and join us.

Our Readings are:

ACTS  Chapter10  Verses 34-43 News of the risen Lord ios given to the Gentiles

and Matthew  chapter 28, verses 1-10  The empty tomb and risen Jesus

Dear God, thank you for the resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ, bringing new life, hope, and victory over death into the world. May the light of His love fill our hearts and guide our actions. Let us live in gratitude, sharing His grace and love with all.

 Amen.
