Sunday 17th May marks the start of Christian Aid Week, the week before Pentecost. Christ Church celebrates a Benefice service of Holy Communion at the earlier time of 9.00 am which allows worshippers time to attend the Christian Aid Service at 10.30 am in the Salvation Army Citadel

ACTS  Chapter 1 Verses 6-14  The ascension of Jesus to heaven

and 

John  Chapter 17, verses  1-11  Jesus prays for his flock, the High Priestly Prayer
