Our Benefice comes together to remember Jesus meeting in the upper room with his disciples to celebrate passover. We meet at 6.00pm to share a simple Agape meal with pitta bread, and lamb. This will be followed at 7.00 pm by a special service of Holy Communion terminating in the stripping of the altar, and we leave in silence as we remember the betrayal of Jesus.

Christ Church

Sunday 9th  August is the Tenth Sunday after Trinity, and Christ Church welcomes you to a service of Morning Worship at 10.30 am, with the theme of Fear and Faith and our service is enlivened by live music by Steve Bloggs.

Our service will be followed by light refreshments in the Church Room, as we exchange news and share our experiences, so  do come and join us 

Our Readings are:

1 Kings Chapter 19 verses 9-18   God speaks to Elijah at mount Horeb

and 

Matthew Chapter  14 verses 22-33 Jesus walks on the water

Gracious and Holy Father,
give us the wisdom to discover You,
the intelligence to understand You,
the diligence to seek after You,
the patience to wait for You,
eyes to behold You,
a heart to meditate upon You,
and a life to proclaim You,
through the power of the Spirit of Jesus, our Lord.
