Maundy Thursday Last Supper and Holy Communion

Our Benefice comes together to remember Jesus meeting in the upper room with his disciples to celebrate passover. We meet at 6.00pm to share a simple Agape meal with pitta bread, and lamb. This will be followed at 7.00 pm by a special service of Holy Communion terminating in the stripping of the altar, and we leave in silence as we remember the betrayal of Jesus.

Christ Church

Sunday 20th  September is the Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity, and Christ Church celebrates Sunday with a service if Holy Communion at 10.30am

The service will be followed by light refreshments in the Church Room as we meet together to catch up on the news for the week

Our Readings are:

Jonah Chapter 3 verse 11 to Chapter 4 verse 11. Jonah finds shelter under a bush which subsequently dies

and 

Matthew  Chapter  20 verses 1-16 Workers in the Vineyard 

Grant us, O God, the peace of those who love to serve you, the joy of those who are glad to obey you and the delight of those who rejoice in your praise.
