Christ Church
Welcome to Christ Church.
This coming Sunday, the second before Advent, we celebrate Christ's coming with a service of Holy Communion at 10.30 a.m. After the service, we will enjoy light refreshments as we talk together, exchanging news of our friends and our parish. Do come and join us!
For those unable to come to our service, Astrid has prepared a sermon which is available on You Tube at
https://youtu.be/kMvEqMUATJE
The link becomes live for you to watch on Sunday morning and a copy of her sermon can be downloaded from our News page
Our Readings this week are:
Daniel Chapter 12, verses 1-3 The Time of the End
Mark Chapter 13 verses 1-8 Jesus Fortells the Destruction of the Temple
Heavenly Father,
whose blessed Son was revealed to destroy the works of the devil
and to make us the children of God and heirs of eternal life:
grant that we, having this hope, may purify ourselves even as he is pure;
that when he shall appear in power and great glory
we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom;
where he is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen

This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
