St Andrew's Church

St Andrew's would love to welcome you and the church building is open for private prayer during daylight hours. We will be welcoming a new Rector to the Benefice next February, Meanwhile the church still has the support of an amazing Ministry Team. There is a service at 10.45am every Sunday and sometimes there is also one at 9.15 am or 5.00 pm. Check the weekly news sheet (available on the news and notices tab) or check the calendar ( on services and events  tab) for more detail.

Some services  are live streamed on YouTube. See the weekly sheet or go to St Andrew's Backwell Channel on YouTube.

The parish of Backwell is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
