Rock of Ages Service

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
Burrington Combe
Address
Burrington Combe, Just up from the Burrington Combe Inn

The hymn 'Rock of Ages' was written by a local priest, inspired by the cleft in a rock that sheltered him from a storm. That rock is in Burrington Combe. This annual Service celebrates that great hymn and the faith that it has inspired. Held on a green area opposite the rock (just above the Burrington Combe Inn) this is a wonderful Service for people of every age. Do come and join in. Music will be provided by a Brass Band.

Christ Church

Welcome. Whether you live in Redhill, pass through the village or are just interested, you are always welcome. Welcome to see what we are doing, welcome to join in anything that takes your fancy and, of course, always welcome to be part of Christ's church. This is a warm and welcoming church that seeks to serve its community to the glory of God.

Our church building is open every day for private prayer.

The parish of Wrington is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
