A relaxed Service to which all are welcome. We celebrate the week just gone and look forward to the week to come, reflecting on the relevance of Christ's Gospel to our time and needs. We pray for our Community, our Country and our World, asking for guidance on how best we can work for the coming of God's Kingdom on Earth. All this in the context of Holy Communion, by which we are fed and inspired. We finish with a cup of coffee or whatever, outside, as is required in these strange times. Our last hymn is sung outside, weather permitting.

Essentially a discussion group. We pick different passages from the Bible and discuss what our interpretation of that passage means for our lives today. It is very informal and friendly. We are not seeking to establish a common view, the Bible speaks to each of us individually and so will mean something different to each of us. Fun is a key word for us, in that we aim to enjoy our discussions and the refreshments that go with them.
Getting to know our Bibles better brings us closer to God and to one another. That is the main aim of this group:- Coming closer to God.

We have fun.
This is a Service at which we hope all families to feel comfortable, will enjoy and have a very real sense of the wonder of God.
There is no Communion and the structure is very simple, and fresh each time. People of all ages are encouraged to come as this is a wonderful opportunity to share our faith with our young people and to learn about faith from our young people.
It is a short and fast moving service, hopefully leaving you charged up and ready for the week ahead.

Churchyard Clean-UP

Occurring

Venue
Christ Church
Address
Church Road Redhill Bristol, BS40 5SG, United Kingdom

We are very proud of our churchyard. It is quite rustic, with lots of areas for the wildlife, but it clearly shows how much we love it.
Once a month we gather to maintain the edges, where the undergrowth encroaches on the areas of mown lawns. If you would like to help, please just come along. Bring with you any tools you might need for the work you are comfortable doing; shears, gloves, hat, etc. Refreshments will be provided.

Passover Meal

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Redhill Village Hall
Address
Redhill Village Hall, Church Road, Redhill, BS40 5SG

This is a Christian take on the Jewish tradition of a Seder Meal. It is for everyone, young and not so young. We will share a meal of many courses, each of which is highly symbolic of the Life of Christ, ending with a Lamb Burger in a Flat-Bread; which is our take on the traditional Passover Meal. The meal is an opportunity to celebrate God's presence in our lives, but also for the adults to share with the youngsters something of their faith, following a liturgy of set readings, questions and answers. In accordance with the Jewish tradition, the meal is on of joy and fun.
Due to the costs involved, there is a small charge, which will be collected at the door.
If you wish to attend, or just want to know more about it, please do phone Rev'd Andrew 07584 124 198.

Stations of the Cross

Occurring
for 45 mins
Venue
Christ Church
Address
Church Road Redhill Bristol, BS40 5SG, United Kingdom

Christ Church is graced with some beautiful contemporary Stations of the Cross. This service will seek to echo their nature. I have asked six individuals to speak on one Station each, ending with a prayer. There has been no corroboration between us, so I have no idea how it will turn out, but it will be to God's glory. After the 2 minute reflection, a time of silence and the singing of the verse of a hymn, we move to the next station. The whole Service takes about 45 minutes.
