I wonder if some of you are looking forward to Tuesday 4th March? The reason? Well because it is Pancake day! (also known as Shrove Tuesday). In the church this marks the beginning of Lent which starts the day after. And so on Wednesday 5th March, which is known as Ash Wednesday, we will be having a service at 12midday. All ages are welcome so please treat this as your invitation. As we have done in previous years we will be running two Lent courses , every Wednesday for 5 weeks, starting on Wednesday 12th March. One course will start at 12 midday (finishing around 2pm) in the large hall at St Peters and the second will start at 7pm (finishing around 8.30pm) in the small hall at St Peter’s. The content of both the Lent courses will be identical so you can mix and match times if that is helpful to you! The only difference will be that we will serve soup and rolls at the midday course and just cake in the evening. There is no need to sign up, just turn up and enjoy.
Youth Drop-inEvery day from 3-5pm the church is open for young people, years 7-11, to ‘drop in’. The drop in is open to any Secondary school age young person from any school (or home schooled). It is a space where young people can relax, do homework, play games, take shelter, have a drink and a snack and spend time with friends and more. (nb. Term time only)
