St John the Baptist

One God, One Parish, Three Villages

We are one parish worshipping at three historic churches (of which St John's is one) based in neighbouring villages in a beautiful rural parish on the southern edge of the Cotswolds

We are here for everyone – We are available for all as and when they need us - to come alongside them, no matter their faith or opinions

We are here to help people grow – We exist to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care

We are here to love our community – To reach out to those in the community and show that love in practical ways

Safeguarding

Our parish of Freshford with Limpley Stoke & Hinton Charterhouse is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Lesley MacKenzie via email at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Manager Ben Goodhind via email at [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
