This is a fun and free activity for children to enjoy every week during August. Come to the Wookey Playing Field for a game of rounders supported by Wookey Church. Children should bring a bottle of water with them. Children under 8 years old need to come with an adult. The leaders are DBS checked. No rounders if it rains.

St Matthew's, Wookey

Welcome to our page on A Church Near You!

St Matthew's Church is a beautiful church in the village of Wookey, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services almost every Sunday, except during some months on the third Sunday of the month. Also if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly Holy Communion service which is held every Wednesday. You are very welcome to come to any of our services or events, and details of these can be found on this website, or on our own website www.chwchurches.co.uk There are also more details about the this church and the benefice on our website.
