We’ve got an exciting event for children and families happening at Wookey Goat Farm! There’ll be a range of activities for children to enjoy, including: planting bulbs in a pot to take home with you, a craft activity, a Bible story, seeing the kid goats (very cute!) and refreshments too. Plus, wet weather can’t spoil this fun afternoon. No fees and no need to book places, but please let us know if you have any dietary requirements by emailing: [email protected].

Welcome to our page on A Church Near You!

St Matthew's Church is a beautiful church in the village of Wookey, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services almost every Sunday, except during some months on the third Sunday of the month. Also if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly Holy Communion service which is held every Wednesday.
