Join us at the monthly informal service at Wookey, known as 'Inspire'. This service is on Mothering Sunday, and we'll give thanks for those who care for us. There will be singing of well-known songs, Bible readings, prayers and a short talk, which will look at figures from the Bible such as Mosses' mother. There'll be hot drinks to enjoy after the service. This is a great service for people who are new to church, or those with children, as it's got a nice relaxed feel to it.

St Matthew's Church is a beautiful church in the village of Wookey, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services almost every Sunday, except during some months on the third Sunday of the month. Also if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly Holy Communion service which is held every Wednesday.
