Crafts include threading garlands, planting bulbs to take home and making bird feeders. If it rains we can sit under cover and there'll be drinks and biscuits. This is a great afternoon for all of the family, and will be particularly enjoyed by children. No need to RSVP, just turn up. Please park on Monksford Lane.

Welcome to our page on A Church Near You!

St Matthew's Church is a beautiful church in the village of Wookey, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services almost every Sunday, except during some months on the third Sunday of the month. Also if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly Holy Communion service which is held every Wednesday.
