Join us for a fun quiz focusing on general knowledge, with yummy puddings and hot drinks to enjoy during the evening. You can also bring your own drinks with you. There are 6 people to a team, but don't worry if you can't put together a team, as we will be happy to arrange this for you. Tickets are £10 per person, and the money raised will be used for repairs to the lych-gate and maintenance work. You will need to reserve your ticket with Katrina, and then pay in cash on the night. You can park on Church Road and walk past St Matthew's Church to the Church Hall, or you can park in other nearby roads. We look forward to seeing you!

Over the last couple of years Wookey Church has been transformed into a beautiful Christmassy place for everyone to enjoy. This year, we’re doing things a little differently - there’s no competition, just a joint effort to fill Wookey Church with stars! And we need your help! Groups can join in too! Come along with stars that you have made at home, or come and decorate and make stars with us! There’ll be hot chocolate to enjoy as we listen to carols! No need to book, just come along!
The stars will stay in place until the end of December.

Sacred Space - an hour of quietness to ponder the mystery of Christ’s birth and the need for that birth. This year there are reflections on how animals adapt to winter, waiting in the cold and darkness for the return of light and hope. Please join us in Christ Church Henton at any point between 7 and 8pm on Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th December. With prayers and readings for Compline at 7:45pm.

This is a special edition of our monthly Inspire service, but this one is focused on the Christmas story. It's perfect for all ages, people who would like a more relaxed form of worship, and those who are interested in a less traditional service. Come along to an enjoyable and thought provoking service. Hear about the Christmas story, sing some well known songs and pray for everyone. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity.

Enjoy singing a selection of Christmas carols together in the church at this popular local event, with refreshments afterwards to enjoy! In the past couple of years this has been a well attended event, and a lovely event to experience in the build up to Christmas!

This year there is a fourth Sunday before Christmas Day, so it gives us the chance to have an extra chance to sing carols in Wookey Church as we celebrate Holy Communion. There will be prayers and Bible readings too. We hope that you’ll come and join us!

Join us as we act out the Nativity! Families and children are very welcome to join in, and you can even come already dressed up! How about a king, a shepherd, a sheep, an angel or a star? We will provide costume for you to borrow during the service too! There'll be carols, laughter and hot chocolate!

This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity. This service is named after the belief that Jesus is the cornerstone on which we build our faith and live our lives.

This is a special festive event for children and families. There'll be a craft activity, Christmas songs to sing, making Christingles (orange treats with sweets, candle and a ribbon) and hot chocolate to enjoy! Deepen your faith in this short course by using paintings from The National Gallery. We are going to be holding a 6 week course looking at the story of the first half of the Bible: the Old Testament. Each week we’ll look at a different painting and focus on a different event as described in the Bible. The course will be held in Henton Church on Thursday evenings for the first two sessions in September, and will then be held in a private home in Henton for the remaining four sessions during October and November.
