Join us for a fun quiz focusing on general knowledge, with yummy puddings and hot drinks to enjoy during the evening. You can also bring your own drinks with you. There are 6 people to a team, but don't worry if you can't put together a team, as we will be happy to arrange this for you. Tickets are £10 per person, and the money raised will be used for repairs to the lych-gate and maintenance work. You will need to reserve your ticket with Katrina, and then pay in cash on the night. Join us for a service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon too. Plus tea and coffee are usually served after the service.

Join other people from local area for a short Holy Communion service without singing. This is a great service to come to if you find it difficult to attend Sunday services or if you want to celebrate Holy Communion during the week.

Join us for Holy Communion in a spoken service without singing. This is a calming small service.

Meditation can be a mindful practice, with amazing benefits to wellbeing, but also a bridge to silent prayer that has roots in early Christianity and other spiritual traditions. Following on from a retreat afternoon, a group is meeting once a month. Please arrive from 2pm so that we can all be seated by 2:15pm, as there is a security lock on the door. There will be a short reading at the start and end of the session, with a period for meditation/silent prayer. There's a chance to enjoy a cuppa afterwards too. Join us for a Holy Communion service to mark the start of lent. During the service the mark of the cross will be made on everyone's forehead. The ashes are made from palm crosses which are associated with the start of Holy Week with Palm Sunday. This is a very special way to start the period of lent, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Join us for an informal worship all-ages service. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity.

During Lent we will look at paintings telling the Easter story, with space for Bible commentary and discussion. We’ll be discussing the film “The Way,” in which a group of people walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. As they journey, they are changed and this course examines different aspects of “Salvation”. It poses the questions: What are we saved from? What are we saved for? We’ve got an exciting event for children and families happening at Wookey Goat Farm! There’ll be a range of activities for children to enjoy, including: planting bulbs in a pot to take home with you, a craft activity, a Bible story, seeing the kid goats (very cute!) and refreshments too. Bad weather can’t spoil this fun afternoon. Free and no need to book places – just turn up.

The 5th Sunday in March falls on Mothering Sunday, so we’re all going to join together for a Holy Communion service where we give thanks for those who have cared for us.

January's a time when we usually think about New Year's Resolutions. This is a 4 week course exploring what it means to enact positive change in your life. Each week you will reflect on what various experts have to say about making positive change, engage in conversations with others on the course and identify some simple exercises that you can try. Over 3 weeks the course focuses on art telling Old Testament Bible stories. Based on a book by Revd Nicholas Holtam of St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, which explores the power of art to capture us and transport us beyond ourselves. Revd Nicholas finds that viewing art removes many boundaries to engaging with the Bible. Many of the paintings in the National Gallery are of Christian subjects and were created as devotional pieces for places of worship or people’s homes. Paintings of Biblical events encourage us to join the journey of former generations in getting to know God. Each week will focus on a single painting, encouraging you to look and think about it, and there will be commentary and a prayer linked to each painting.
