The 5th Sunday in March falls on Mothering Sunday, so we’re all going to join together for a Holy Communion service where we give thanks for those who have cared for us.

During Lent we will look at paintings telling the Easter story, with space for Bible commentary and discussion. In the first session we'll start at 7pm to watch the film 'The Way' together. Then in the following sessions, we’ll be discussing the film “The Way,” in which a group of people walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. As they journey, they are changed and this course examines different aspects of “Salvation”. It poses the questions: What are we saved from? What are we saved for? Join other people from local area for a short Holy Communion service without singing. This is a great service to come to if you find it difficult to attend Sunday services or if you want to celebrate Holy Communion during the week.

Meditation can be a mindful practice, with amazing benefits to wellbeing, but also a bridge to silent prayer that has roots in early Christianity and other spiritual traditions. Following on from a retreat afternoon, a group is meeting once a month. Please arrive from 2pm so that we can all be seated by 2:15pm, as there is a security lock on the door. There will be a short reading at the start and end of the session, with a period for meditation/silent prayer. There's a chance to enjoy a cuppa afterwards too. If you are able to makea small donation towards paying for heating that would be much appreciated. Join us on Palm Sunday for an informal worship all-ages service. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity.

During the first three days of Holy Week, we have Sacred Space taking place at Christ Chuch Henton. This is a great opportunity for people to focus on the amazing events that took place at the first Easter, and God's awesome love for us! The church will be open for people to drop in anytime between 7-8pm to enjoy being in a sacred space. You are welcome to sit and think, light candles, reflect and pray. There will also be a short service at 7:45pm of prayers and readings. Everyone is welcome, and you can leave at any time up to 8pm.

A fun morning for children and families to take part in a range of activities related to Easter. Craft activities include: making Easter cards with wax resist, and creating an Easter Garden (a miniature landscape for the events of Easter). Follow a trail, collecting items about Easter, and we’ll hear the Easter Story. We know that it can be hard to tell the Easter story in an appropriate way for children, so this event is a wonderful way to involve them in the wonder of Easter. Drinks and biscuits will be provided and there’s no need to book. We look forward to seeing you!

We join together to celebrate the Last Supper with a meal that we share on Maundy Thursday. Join us for this special occasion. There is no charge for the meal, but donations are welcome to cover church costs. Tenebrae is a chance to focus on the loss felt by Jesus' followers caused by his betrayal by Judas, his death on the cross and his burial in a tomb. This service reflects on the different shadows cast by these events, and this is symbolised by 13 candles. One by one each of these candles are extinguished leaving the church in darkness. This service reminds us that Jesus' suffered these shadows so that we might be restored to God and have eternal life.

This is a thoughtful hour to focus on the stations of the cross (steps of Jesus' journey to the cross). Each event will be represented with a work of art, and accompanied with Bible verses and a prayer. Well known hymns set the tone. This time symbolises us keeping Jesus company like his family, friends and followers did at the foot of the cross.

Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! We will share Holy Communion and celebrate this special day! There's craft activities for children, and there will be Easter eggs to hunt for, which we'll share together.

Join us for a service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon too. Plus tea and coffee are usually served after the service.

Join us for Holy Communion in a spoken service without singing. This is a calming small service.

The Pre-Raphaelites were a group of artists founded in 1848. They wanted paintings to be imaginative and realistic, while often containing symbolism. Many of their paintings remain
popular and well-known. During this short course we’ll look at four Pre-Raphaelite paintings, exploring their messages about faith and our response. We’ll meet at 7:30pm in a private

Join us for an informal worship all-ages service. This is a great service to attend if you are new to Church or interested in Christianity.

We’ll meet at Wookey Church at 3pm for our annual prayer walk from Wookey to Henton. As we walk we’ll be stopping to pray for key places in our communities. We’ll end the walk at
Henton Church, where there’ll be tea and cakes. The walk will go along roads, footpaths and some uneven surfaces. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join in too. If people would just
like to attend the refreshments at Henton Church you are very welcome to do so! We aim to be there around 4pm. No need to book – just turn up at Wookey Church.
