An Evening of Light Opera with Ian Spencer accompanied by his pianist Abigail. Ian Spencer has been singing in the chorus of the Dutch National Opera in the Netherlands for the last 38 years and has recently moved back to Britain. Alongside singing in the chorus in Amsterdam he has also sung as a soloist at the Opera House and concerts outside of the house. He has also sung with many diverse groups including the Ambrosian Chorus, the Rossini Society, Lyon Opera and English National Opera. Now he is looking forward to a new audience who may not have heard his jokes before! Tickets £15 per person to include light refreshments. Cash / Card Bar. Welcome to our page on A Church Near You! 

Christ Church Henton is a beautiful church in the village of Henton, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services every Sunday, however if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly prayer meeting which is held every Monday. On the 1st Sunday of the month is a relaxed service over breakfast at Henton Village Hall, which is free, and very much enjoyed. You are very welcome to come to any of our services or events, and details of these can be found on this website, or on our own website www.chwchurches.co.uk There are also more details about the this church and the benefice on our website.
