Deepen your faith in this short course by using paintings from The National Gallery. We are going to be holding a 6 week course looking at the story of the first half of the Bible: the Old Testament. Each week we’ll look at a different painting and focus on a different event as described in the Bible. The course will be held in Henton Church on Thursday evenings for the first two sessions in September, and will then be held in a private home in Henton for the remaining four sessions during October and November. Welcome to our page on A Church Near You! 

Christ Church Henton is a beautiful church in the village of Henton, near Wells. We are part of a group of 3 churches and 4 parishes, known as a benefice, which are looked after by Revd Jan Shellard-James.

There are services every Sunday, however if there is a 5th Sunday in a month, a service might take place at a different church in the benefice. There is also a weekly prayer meeting which is held every Monday. On the 1st Sunday of the month is a relaxed service over breakfast at Henton Village Hall, which is free, and very much enjoyed. You are very welcome to come to any of our services or events, and details of these can be found on this website, or on our own website www.chwchurches.co.uk There are also more details about the this church and the benefice on our website.
