Join people in Henton and the surrounding area as we pray together for individuals, for the village and the world.

During Lent we will look at paintings telling the Easter story, with space for Bible commentary and discussion. In the first session we'll start at 7pm to watch the film 'The Way' together. Then in the following sessions, we’ll be discussing the film “The Way,” in which a group of people walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. As they journey, they are changed and this course examines different aspects of “Salvation”. It poses the questions: What are we saved from? What are we saved for? Join us at this informal breakfast at Henton Village Hall. Arrive anytime between 9am and 9:30am. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There is also activities and crafts for children. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.

Join us for a service of Holy Communion. There will be hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon too. Plus tea and coffee served after the service.

During the first three days of Holy Week, we have Sacred Space taking place at Christ Chuch Henton. This is a great opportunity for people to focus on the amazing events that took place at the first Easter, and God's awesome love for us! The church will be open for people to drop in anytime between 7-8pm to enjoy being in a sacred space. You are welcome to sit and think, light candles, reflect and pray. There will also be a short service at 7:45pm of prayers and readings. Everyone is welcome, and you can leave at any time up to 8pm.

Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

The Pre-Raphaelites were a group of artists founded in 1848. They wanted paintings to be imaginative and realistic, while often containing symbolism. Many of their paintings remain
popular and well-known. During this short course we’ll look at four Pre-Raphaelite paintings, exploring their messages about faith and our response. We’ll meet at 7:30pm in a private
